Stefan Krause: “Bridges between demands and technology”

The executive board member of Infopark AG expresses what many think today: “The Internet is in a state of transformation – it is evolving from an information and image platform to a sales and services channel.” Stefan Krause is the executive member responsible for product development, professional services and finance. As regards the challenges presented by his customers, he points out: “Previously, Website visitors were enthused by something new. Today, that’s not enough.” For the Infopark executive, Internet sites are extremely important for customer communication.

Stefan Krause helps Infopark customers to transfer their business processes online, while ensuring that business operations remain secure. The be-all and end-all for him: reliable, sophisticated technology that offers professional users real benefits. He’s busy building bridges to meet these requirements: “The trend is shifting from information to communication, from content management to online marketing.” In approaching the changing situation, the IT expert knows how much he owes to his team: “Our employees are quick to respond to new challenges and they know how to use technology,” he says, praising the developers and consultants. Stefan Krause adds one more thing: “At Infopark, we have a personal requirement for providing high-quality services continually.” Perhaps the reason for that is the individual creative space allotted at Infopark. Or perhaps it’s also the “right balance between perfection and overkill.” In the end, the Berliner by choice makes it clear what is important for him:

“Everything is in flux. For us, that means we lead the new processes of our customers into the new requirements. For our customers, it’s about continuity – not about one-off solutions with a short application period.”

Stefan Krause studied computer science in Kiel and has more than 20 years experience in the software industry. The Magdeburg native has worked for FN Datec and DART Software, among other companies. The founder and executive board member of Infopark AG is a member of the German federal advisory agency, SAGA, Standards and Architectures for e-Government Applications.
